The MS531-BMW is a PC Based diagnostic tool where data saved in the electronic control systems of the motorcycle can be visualized. Serial diagnostics refers to diagnostics where the PC communicates with a control unit (or units) via the serial communication channel brought out to the motorcycle’s diagnostic connector.

The diagnostic tool for serial diagnostics is basically equipment enabling a person to communicate with the motorcycle’s electronic systems in a form that is easy to understand for a human being. But it is not only a reader. In many cases the diagnostic tool must be used for various configuration functions during maintenance or repairs, especially when replacing certain components.
